OUR CLINIC
At Tar River Animal Hospital we feel that our pets are our babies, as do our clients. Our goal is to give your pet the best care possible. We are a full-service animal hospital offering routine surgeries like spays and neuter, dental care, boarding, vaccinations, wellness care with nose to tail physical exams, digital radiographs, and much more.

Our practice was built in 1946 by Dr. B.H. Kinsey. Over the years the facility has grown in size and new technology has been added, but we still pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our clients. We are grateful to our community for supporting a locally owned business over the years. Our current owner is Dr. Carol Kelly, DVM who has been at Tar River for 19 years prior to buying the business in 2012. We look forward to continuing to serve our existing clients and meeting new clients and getting to know their fur babies.
